Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-06
This policy tells you what we will and will not allow on tempmail. Violations result in suspension or termination, sometimes without prior notice. By using the Service you agree to follow it.
Prohibited use of received mail
You may not use the Service to:
- Receive email used in phishing, credential-harvesting, or impersonation of a real organisation or individual.
- Receive verification codes for accounts you do not have authorisation to operate (e.g., bypassing OTPs on someone else's account).
- Receive content related to fraud, money-laundering, or any illegal scheme.
- Receive child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorist content, or content that incites violence. We report such content to relevant authorities and ban the account.
Prohibited use of accounts
- Creating accounts in bulk to circumvent quotas or rate limits.
- Sharing account credentials with third parties.
- Selling or transferring access to your account without our written consent.
- Operating multiple accounts to evade a suspension.
Prohibited use of webhooks and API
- Pointing webhooks at infrastructure you do not control.
- Using the Service to scan, attack, or probe other systems.
- Reverse-engineering rate limits to circumvent them.
Prohibited content in user-controlled fields
Display names, support tickets, contact-form submissions, and similar user-controlled fields may not contain hate speech, harassment, or content unlawful in Egypt.
Domain ownership
You may only add domains for which you control DNS. Adding a domain you do not control to claim or interfere with mail addressed to it is a violation.
Reporting abuse
If you believe an account on the Service is violating this policy, email [email protected] with details. We investigate every report within five business days.
Enforcement
Suspected violations may be investigated using account metadata and minimal access to message content. Confirmed violations may result in suspension, termination, content takedown, or referral to law enforcement, at our discretion. We are not obligated to issue refunds in such cases.
